PRIMERDECK
Accessibility
PrimerDeck (operated by Nexus E-Com B.V., Rotterdam) wants everyone to be able to read our guides and use our website, including people who use assistive technology. This statement describes where we stand, what we are working on and how to reach us if something is in your way.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA for primerdeck.com, in line with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and EN 301 549, which apply to e-commerce services and e-books.
What we have done on the website
- Every page has a single clear heading structure, visible focus indicators for keyboard users and text that can be resized to 200 percent without loss of content.
- Colour contrast for text meets at least 4.5 to 1 on all reading surfaces; decorative gold elements are never the only carrier of information.
- The site can be used with a keyboard alone, including the menu, search, language picker, cart and checkout. Pop-ups close with the Escape key.
- Images carry descriptive alternative text; purely decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers.
- Animations respect the "reduce motion" setting of your device and can also be switched off with the motion toggle in the footer.
- Forms have visible labels and error messages that are announced to screen readers.
- Signing in works with a one-time e-mail code, so no password has to be remembered or typed.
The guides (PDF)
Our guides are delivered as PDF. We are working towards tagged, reading-order-correct PDFs with document language, real text (no scanned pages), alternative text for figures and sufficient contrast. Until every guide has been checked, we cannot claim full PDF/UA conformance. If a guide does not work with your screen reader or you need another format, write to us and we will provide the content in an accessible alternative (for example a tagged PDF, a large-print version or plain text) free of charge, within five working days.
Known limitations
- Some third-party components (payment forms in the checkout, the review and membership widgets) are provided by our platform partners. We pass on accessibility issues we find to them and choose accessible settings where the tools allow it.
- Not every guide in every language has been tested with assistive technology yet. We test the English editions first and roll improvements out to the other 15 languages.
Feedback and contact
If you experience any barrier on primerdeck.com or in a guide, please tell us:

Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the supervisory authority for the European Accessibility Act in your country. In the Netherlands this is the Rijksinspectie Digitale Infrastructuur (RDI).
